What is Suggestion Ox?

Suggestion Ox is a web platform that empowers organizations and their HR teams to create online anonymous suggestion boxes and collect anonymous employee feedback. We created Suggestion Ox specifically in response to a growing need for organizations to tap into the power of anonymity to collect truly candid information from employees, whether that is ideas, concerns, or questions.

How does an anonymous suggestion box work?

An anonymous suggestion box collects responses and feedback without acquiring any personally identifiable data or information that would help the organization determine the person behind it. In practice, this means that the anonymous suggestion box DOES NOT collect the person's IP address or any other data that would help identify them. It does not collect or reveal the person's email or any other information that could lead to identifying them to the recipient. With an anonymous suggestion box, the feedback is exactly what it seems – opinions, concerns, ideas, and more that arrive without any means of identifying the author. Worth noting - the anonymous suggestion box software or platform might ask the person to provide their email address. However, that email is never shared with anyone and is used only to conduct a two-way anonymous conversation with the organization.

Are suggestion boxes created with Suggestion Ox really anonymous?

Yes. In fact, Suggestion Ox does not collect any personally identifiable information by default. You don’t have to turn that option on. It is activated by default and needs to be manually disabled in the suggestion box’s settings if you decide to launch an attributed suggestion box.

How do I share feedback with other managers or leaders?

You can add additional managers, so they have access to the box, or just set them up to receive suggestions by email. You can also export suggestions and share them using any internal tool you prefer.

Can I respond to suggestions?

Yes, one of the best practices for deploying your online suggestion box is to use our Direct Replies feature. This will include an email field for respondents. If they choose to include their email you will be able to respond back to them through our system. However, we won't share their email address with you, so they remain anonymous (it's encrypted in our database). If they choose not to include their email you can still respond back to them via the unique link that they collect at the time they submit their feedback.

Yes! You get a private, password-protectable website for your team where you can choose to share any suggestion along with your response.

Can I customize my suggestion box?

Yes, you can customize the suggestion box with your company’s logo and branded colors. On top of that, you can also add unlimited fields to capture the information you need and customize the suggestion box to a specific campaign or feedback type.
